Summer is in full swing here in the Okanagan! Below I've got a little summer update, and a list of some of the best FREE things to do while in Kelowna & area.

IN THE BLOG:

1) ANDREW SUMMER UPDATE

2) BEST FREE LOCAL THINGS TO DO

1) ANDREW SUMMER UPDATE

Just a grateful year for me to be honest. Happy to have some family & friends who are healthy and local. Happy I can continue showcasing the amazing Cultural District. And happy for customers that keep allowing me to do both :)

2) BEST FREE LOCAL THINGS TO DO

I head up here 3-5 times a week year round, and the stunning vistas never get boring. Do yourself a favour and go enjoy 1-3 hours adventuring around with views of Okanagan Lake!

B) Visit Our Local Waterfalls - CLICK HERE

We have 5 local waterfalls that are roughly 30 minutes to 1 hour to drive to each of them. Then again about that much to easily hike to and reach most of them! Click the link above to head out on your waterfall adventure :)

Fintry Waterfall, Okanagan BC

C) Visit Over 30 Sandy Beaches - CLICK HERE

Okay we have over 30 amazing sandy beaches, but over the past several years Kelowna has added 8 beaches that allow alcohol consumption! That is what the link above includes if you want to enjoy an adult beverage by the lake!

Gyro Beach - Kelowna, BC

D) Mission Park Greenway - CLICK HERE

Get on your bike, rent one, or go for a shady stroll along Mission Creek Greenway that wanders it's way through most of Kelowna, and has points with lakeviews. There are several spots to access and park as well . Please click the link above for more information.

Bicycle by Okanagan Lake, BC.

E) Okanagan Rail Trail (Lake Country) - CLICK HERE

Lastly, honourable mention goes to where I grew up in Lake Country, BC. Go for a beach day, a walk, or rent bikes. Adventuring around Kalamalka Lake and Wood Lake will never do you wrong. Slow down a little bit and enjoy the easy living of Lake Country just 20 minutes from Kelowna :)

Also, while in Lake Country check out Gatzke's Fruit Stand or AB Farm (my favourite) at 12691 Trewhitt Road, Oyama BC.

You can also find a great hike where you can see all 4 lakes in Kelowna and area all at once on Spion Kop Hike Trails.

I hope everyone has a great start to Summer, and I'll catch up with you in August :)
