We made the news for all the wrong reasong this August in the Okanagan. First of all my heart goes out to all those affected directly by the wildfires. Secondly, I'm doing the best I can to collect and save some money to give to our Central Okanagan Food Bank. I also volunteer with them as much as possible October-April each year :)

That being said, things have turned the corner here and some rain is due, so I just wanted to share some good news :)

A tough start to August, you don't need me to remind you. But thanks to everyone who stuck with me and came out on tour!

We only had a handful of days where we couldn't see a mountain here, but things are starting to clear up.

Hopefully, you or some friends are thinking of coming to the Okanagan this fall to enjoy! It's a cheaper time to visit, we still have great weather, plus lots of fruit and vegetables available. Some years I swim in the lakes in October as well.

2) D DUTCHMEN DAIRY - SICAMOUS, BC

What more can I say? My favourite dairy since I was a boy! Go there and visit for the milk in a glass bottle, the outstanding ice cream, the fruit stand, and then go visit all the farm animals after. When is the last time you petted a cow?!
