SMOKY SUMMER UPDATE

August started off tough, and you don’t need me to remind you! But thanks to everyone who stuck with me and came out on tour!
We only had a handful of days where we couldn’t see a mountain, but things are starting to clear up. Hopefully, you or some friends are thinking of coming to the Okanagan this fall to enjoy! It’s a cheaper time to visit, we still have great weather, plus lots of fruits and vegetables available. Some years, I even swim in the lakes in October!

2) MY FAVOURITE LOCAL DAIRY FARM
Let me tell you about my favorite dairy farm! It’s called D Dutchmen Dairy in Sicamous, BC. This place has been my go-to since I was a kid! You absolutely must visit for the milk in a glass bottle, the outstanding ice cream, and the fruit stand. And don’t forget to check out all the adorable farm animals! When was the last time you petted a cow?!

Oh, and let’s not forget about peach season! Just look at these peaches about to be canned. They’re from my mom’s friends in Lake Country - GATZKE ORCHARDS! Aren’t they beautiful?!
